1、 四位数的年份，一般前两位数为一个单位，后两位数为一个单位，依次按基数词读出，但要注意千年的读法。
1999读作nineteen ninety-nine
1806年读作eighteen and six, eighteen hundred and six
2018年读作two thousand and eighteen或twenty eighteen.
1900年通常读作nineteen hundred
2、 月份的表达法：首写字母要大写，月份名称及缩写形式如下：
一月 Jan. January 二月 Feb. February 三月 Mar. March 四月 Apr. April
五月 May. May 六月 Jun. June 七月 Jul. July 八月 Aug. August 九月 Sept. September 十月 Oct. October 十一月 Nov. November 十二月 Dec. December
3、月、日的表达法：可先写月份，再写日期；也可先写日期，再写月份。日期中的“几号”可用序数词，也可用基数词表达，要注意读法。
6月1日：June 1st或1st June 读作：June the first或者the first of June
12月25日：December 25(th)或25th December
读作：December （the）twenty-fifth或the twenty-fifth of December
4、世纪年代的表示法和读法
A、 单独表达”……世纪”时，century前直接用序数词即可；序数词前用定冠词
在19世纪 in the nineteenth（19th） century
B. 在表达“在……世纪……年代”时用“in the 带整十年份的复数形式或在整十年份后加-s”。初期、中期、末期分别early, mid-,和late表示
在19世纪30年代 in the 1830s/1830’s
在20世纪90年代中期：in the mid-1990s/mid-1990‘s
5、 表示某年某月某日，英式英语通常是“日、月、年”，美式英语通常是“月、日，年”
1970年5月1日 May 1st, 1970 或1st May, 1970
2008年8月8日 August 8th, 2008 或8th August, 2008
